Vettel leads truncated final session
Scuderia Ferrari Sebastian Vettel led the way for Ferrari during the final practice session for the Canadian Grand Prix, which was brought to an early halt due to Kevin Magnussen’s accident. Magnussen's car snapped left through Turn 7 and he suffered a heavy impact with the wall on the exit of the corner, sustaining substantial damage to the left hand side of the Renault RS.16. Magnussen’s off brought the session to an end 15 minutes earlier than planned. Vettel had clocked the quickest time during a session which was affected by occasional light rain.
