DRS issue causes scary crash for Felipe Massa in FP1
Canadian Grand Prix – Felipe Massa's FP1 crash was caused by a DRS problem, Williams have confirmed. The Brazilian driver brought out the red flags during the first practice session, due to crashing his FW38 at the first corner. Braking into the first turn, the rear of Massa's car got twitchy and he lost control. Spinning off backwards, he made heavy impact with the trackside tyre barrier and came to rest in a field of debris. Thankfully, he was OK and clambered free of the car. That was just after he radioed in to his team to say that he thought he had had some sort of DRS issue.
