Raikkonen ‘just doesn't like Monaco'
Ferrari boss, Maurizio Arrivabene reckons the pace differential between Raikkonen and Vettel at Monaco was because the Finn 'doesn't like' the nature of the hard-to-drive Monte-Carlo street circuit. In qualifying, Raikkonen struggled to match Vettel, and was two tenths shy of the German driver, and to add to the Finn's woes – he was given a five place grid penalty for an unscheduled gearbox chance, and as a result started down in 11th place. After a poor qualifying session, the race didn't go to plan; Raikkonen once again struggled in the wet conditions, and clouted the barriers at Grand Hotel Hairpin, and the front-wing went underneath his SF16-H, which forced him to call it a...
