Raikkonen escapes sanction for scattering debris on track

Monaco Grand Prix – Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen was an early casualty in Monaco after crashing at the hairpin. Raikkonen had been fighting his way back through the pack after a low starting position of P11 due to a grid penalty for a gearbox change. Dealing with the drying track, the Ferrari driver got caught out under braking for the hairpin and slid into the barriers, damaging his car. He was able to extricate himself and continue, but debris had gotten lodged under his front wheels and he was unable to turn properly. Romain Grosjean almost got caught out by this, being blocked on the outside of Portier by the understeering Ferrari, before they managed to untangle themselves....
