Kvyat escapes punishment over floor test failure

 XPB Images Daniil Kvyat has escaped punishment after failing a floor deflection test after qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix. On his final run in Q3 Kvyat lost a lot of time in the final sector and after the session claimed something was broken on his car. The Russian said he had hit a kerb at the Swimming Pool section, which could have contributed to the loss of performance. Following the end of qualifying, the FIA technical delegate Jo Bauer reported Kvyat's car to the stewards after it failed a front floor deflection test, with exclusion from the session a possibility. However, the stewards decided to take no further action after hearing an explanation from the team....
