Hamilton moves ahead in second practice

Mercedes AMG Petronas Lewis Hamilton vaulted to the top of the time sheets for Mercedes during the second practice session for the Russian Grand Prix. Hamilton posted a time of 1:37.583 on the Super Soft tyres, following an earlier spin at Turn 4, to finish almost seven-tenths clear of Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel. Vettel recorded his lap on Super Soft tyres half an hour into running but soon after suffered a suspected electronics issue and his SF16-H crawled to a halt exiting the final corner.
