Wehrlein's crash caused by hidden patch of water

Chinese Grand Prix – Pascal Wehrlein brought out the red flags during Q1 after crashing his Manor on the start finish straight. The German driver, one of the stars of qualifying in Bahrain two weeks ago, had an ignominious exit from Chinese qualifying after a crash early in the session. The Manor driver, fitted out with SuperSoft tyres on a drying track, had opened his DRS and was halfway down the straight when he hit a patch of water and lost control.
