Rosberg top as Mercedes display rapid Bahrain pace

CLICK HERE for the full Bahrain Grand Prix FP1 times Championship leader Nico Rosberg headed up a dominant Mercedes 1-2 ahead of team-mate Lewis Hamilton in first free practice for the Bahrain Grand Prix as both drivers exercised a huge margin over the competition. With FP1 beginning under unusually grey skies and in modest temperatures, Rosberg and Hamilton were the last drivers to venture onto track but wasted no time in asserting Mercedes' authority with rapid opening efforts.
