McLaren lose day of testing due to Alonso coolant leak

McLaren's Fernando Alonso has had to withdraw early from track action on Thursday, due to a leak on his McLaren MP4/31. McLaren managed to complete just three laps of the Circuit De Catalunya on Thursday morning, all of them exploratory and driven by Fernando Alonso. Withdrawing to the pits, the garage was covered over while the mechanics got to work on an issue with the car. Towards the end of the morning session before lunch, Honda announced that Alonso ‘would be back behind the wheel' later in the day, but that never transpired.
