Channel 4 decide against breaking ‘The Chain'

Channel 4 have announced that they will keep Formula 1's most iconic theme song as their introduction music for their coverage in 2016. Channel 4 have taken over the British free to air TV rights from the BBC, who have dropped all Formula 1 TV coverage. Channel 4 will show ten races live in 2016, including practice and qualifying, with no ad breaks being shown during the race. The ten races include the new European race in Azerbaijan, as well as the season finale in Azerbaijan. The TV channel took to Twitter on Friday to announce that they have secured the rights to use Fleetwood Mac's 'The Chain' as the theme tune for their F1 coverage.
