Pascal Wehrlein, the 21 year old German, has signed a deal to race with Manor-Mercedes in 2016. So why have they chosen him? Let's look at his background. Born to a German father and a Mauritian mother in 1994, Wehrlein showed an early interest in motorsport but didn't start karting until nine years old – actually quite old by comparison to the likes of other young talents who have started in F1 in recent years.
