Sauber C34 to miss opening test

Sauber will not contest the opening pre-season test with their new 2016 car, instead opting to run a modified version of the C34. The first of this year's two pre-season tests will take place at the Barcelona circuit from 22-25 February. The test was initially scheduled for later, however, a decision to move the start of the championship from April to March meant testing was also pushed forward. This, though, is not to blame for Sauber's decision not to run their new car at the first outing.
