A beauty, a legend, and a $28 million Christmas gift!
©Tim Scott, courtesy of RM Sotheby's We all know that a Ferrari of any type has it's DNA steeped in Formula 1. This outstanding 1956 290 MM was tailor-made for the great Juan Manuel Fangio. Fitted with a screaming 3.5-litre V-12 and bodywork by Scaglietti, it was powered to 5th by the great man in the 1956 Mille Miglia. It's impeccable condition, pedigree and the little bit of stardust that goes with anything Fangio related set back its new owner by a cool $28 million during an RM Sotheby's auction this week.
