Pirelli announce 2016 Australian GP mandatory compounds

Australian Grand Prix – Pirelli have announced the three compounds that they will bring to the first round of the 2016 season in March. The Italian tyre manufacturer will be bringing their Medium, Soft & SuperSoft compounds to Albert Park in Melbourne in March. The mandatory tyre compounds that must be used at some point in the race are the Medium & Soft compounds. Pirelli have also announced that drivers must use a set of SuperSofts for Q3 in qualifying. The new for 2016 regulations mean that each driver must save a set of the softest nominated compound for Q3. This set will be handed back to Pirelli after the session, while those who didn't make it into Q3 are allowed keep them...
