Mercedes suing employee regarding data theft

Mercedes AMG Petronas Mercedes is taking legal action against an employee regarding an alleged theft of confidential documents, it has emerged. A report by the Bloomberg news agency says that Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrain is suing Benjamin Hoyle, who is set to depart the outfit for Ferrari at the end of the year. Hoyle has worked for Mercedes since 2012 and is accused of saving Mercedes files, including a race report from the Hungarian Grand Prix this year, along with other engine data.
