Renault to pay Lotus debts by end of year

In the High Court in London this morning, Mr Justice Birss adjourned the outstanding case against the Lotus F1 team until 21 December, after being told that Renault's buy-out of the team will be finalised five days earlier. We are in a different territory now,' insisted a lawyer for Lotus, referring to the fact that after months of promises and speculation the takeover was now (almost) a reality.
