Stoffel Vandoorne confirmed as McLaren reserve for 2016

Recently crowned GP2 World Champion, Stoffel Vandoorne has been announced as the reserve driver for McLaren-Honda in 2016, taking over Magnussen's role.  The Belgian racing driver has failed to find himself a Formula 1 seat for the 2016 season, after both Button and Alonso had multi-year contracts, the highly rated GP2 champion will sit as the reserve role at McLaren. However, Vandoorne told the media that he is keen on racing, and half a chance lies that he may just get a Friday outing with McLaren-Honda in 2016, however is likely to be seen in tests, as was seen in the in-season Austria test this year.
