Saturday Weather Forecast: Is F1 set for Sunday Qualifying?
After non-stop thunderstorms and rain-showers on Friday, which limited running in FP1 and led to FP2 being cancelled, the prospect looks even worse for Saturday, where Practice 3 and Qualifying are scheduled. During Practice 2 of the United States Grand Prix, the session had to be called off due to safety reasons; the thunder being the main reasons, as the area was deemed unsafe due to the thunder. It is believed that Mexico's Patrica Hurricane is set to worsen conditions on Saturday. The rhythm of the rain is set to be same, similar intermediate conditions in the Morning FP3 session, whilst thunderstorms are expected during qualifying for the US Grand Prix.
