Drivers head into unknown for Russian GP qualifying

Teams and drivers are set to head into qualifying for the Russian Grand Prix with scant track data to call upon after each of the three preceding practice sessions suffered disruptions. With FP1 hampered by an earlier oil spill from a track cleaner and FP2 was washed out by wet weather, Carlos Sainz's sizeable accident in FP3 – which forced an abandonment of the session with more than 20mins remaining – means teams have enjoyed minimal meaningful mileage ahead of this afternoon's all-important qualifying. Indeed, with teams already forced to pack their work schedules in order to make up for the lost time yesterday, only a handful had set times on the super-soft tyres when the session...
