Haze concerns ahead of Singapore GP
– Organisers of the Singapore Grand Prix say they have a "contingency plan" for the cloud of smog which has moved in and gradually worsened in the build up to this weekend's event in the city-state.Smog developed in the region over the weekend, initially in the low- to mid- range of unhealthy air quality, as a result of farmers in neighbouring Indonesia burning forests to clear land for agricultural purposes.But this has since worsened, with local media reporting on Tuesday that Singapore's 24-hour Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) ranked between 126 and 151, inside the unhealthy range of 101-200.Several local events have been called off, while some flights have been diverted...
