Hamilton quickest in final practice at Monza

Lewis Hamilton ended the third and final practice session of the Italian Grand Prix weekend at the top of the timesheets for Mercedes. Overnight rain meant there was little running in the early stages of FP3, with damp track conditions before a dry line started to appear as the sun emerged. Hamilton only completed exploratory laps in the first part of practice three, before going for some quick times. He failed to get a particularly clean lap together on the medium tyre and was fifth before switching to softs. He was one of several drivers to take to the Turn 1 escape road, but moved to the front on the option Pirelli compound. His late lap of 1:24.544 proved to be unbeatable and he ended...
