Yasuhisa Arai: Honda's engine 'much better' than Renault's
Italian Grand Prix – Honda's Yasuhisa Arai says that he believes their upgraded power units have taken them clear of Renault's offering. Honda introduced upgraded power units for the Belgian Grand Prix, utilising three of their permitted tokens for the season. Despite no discernible change in McLaren's relative competitiveness during the Belgian weekend, Honda boss Yasuhisa Arai says that the gap in horsepower to the leaders has narrowed. Speaking to AUTOSPORT, Arai said: 'We haven't caught up to Ferrari yet in terms of the internal combustion engine. (We're around) 40-50[hp] behind Mercedes but about 25 ahead of Renault.
