Button felt he equalled pole lap from 2012

Jenson Button felt his lap in qualifying for the 2015 Belgian Grand Prix was as good as his pole position at Spa-Francorchamps three years ago. It was a difficult session for McLaren, with both cars lacking straight line speed. Button qualified 17th but will start 19th due to power unit penalties. McLaren has picked up a 105-place grid penalty for Sunday's race. New engine components were fitted on Friday, giving Fernando Alonso and Button 30 and 25-place penalties. The power units were then changed for Saturday, increasing the penalties to 55 and 50 places.
