Bianchi laid to rest in Nice

Jules Bianchi has been laid to rest in his hometown of Nice, following a funeral service at the Sainte Reparate Cathedral. Bianchi passed away on Friday night, nine months after he sustained serious head injuries in an accident at last year’s Japanese Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel, Jenson Button, Romain Grosjean, Felipe Massa and Nico Rosberg joined Bianchi’s family and friends at the service. FIA president Jean Todt, his son Nicolas, Bianchi’s manager, and Manor bosses Graeme Lowdon and John Booth were also in attendance. Two large portraits of Bianchi, dressed in his Marussia overalls, flanked the entrance to the cathedral. Thousands of well-wishers gathered outside...
