Lewis turned away at Wimbledon Royal Box
Lewis Hamilton missed the men's final at Wimbledon on Sunday after he was refused entry into the Royal Box 'due to a misunderstanding over dress code'. The reigning Formula 1 World Champion posted a picture of his invitation to watch the match between world number one Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer at the Centre Court Royal Box on Instagram. 'On my way to Wimbledon to watch the final! Honoured to have been invited to watch the men’s finals from the Royal Box!' he wrote. However, he never made it to his seat as he failed to adhere to the Lawn Tennis Association's strict dress code, which requires a jacket, tie and shoes.
