Vandoorne not assured of 2016 F1 seat
McLaren Honda Runaway GP2 championship leader Stoffel Vandoorne says there is no guarantee he will be on the Formula 1 grid in 2016, even if he clinches the junior series crown. Vandoorne has dominated the first half of this year's GP2 Series and has a 65 point lead over nearest rival Alexander Rossi. Vandoorne is part of McLaren's young driver scheme and sampled the MP4-30 at the post-race test in Austria last month. "It's always been a very competitive sport, everybody knows that," he commented.
