Hamilton hails race-winning strategy call

Lewis Hamilton says his call to switch to the intermediate tyres during the closing stages of the British Grand Prix is the best strategy decision of his career. Hamilton dropped to third behind Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas in the opening stages, but used the undercut to clear the two Williams team-mates in the pits before Silverstone was hit by a rain shower. With Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg closing and the rain intensifying, Hamilton opted to make an early switch to the intermediate tyres, a move which proved inspired when Rosberg was forced to pit just a lap later. The German exited the pits well adrift of Hamilton, who cruised home to claim his third British Grand Prix victory....
