McLaren reprimanded for Alonso tyre mix-up
McLaren Honda McLaren has been reprimanded by the stewards after a communication error led to Fernando Alonso's car being fitted with a tyre allocated to team-mate Jenson Button. McLaren accepted blame and was handed a reprimand following a session in which both drivers were eliminated during the first knockout segment of qualifying for the British Grand Prix. Alonso will start the race from 17th position as McLaren's struggles continue. "I had a problem at the end of FP3 this morning," he said.
