FIA: ‘Zero tolerance' on track limits being exceeded

British Grand Prix – The FIA have announced that there will be a zero tolerance policy taken over exceeding track limits during qualifying and the race. According to the notice issued to teams on Saturday morning, the corner which will be clamped down upon is Turn 9 (Copse). Drivers leaving the track on the exit of the turn during qualifying will have their laptimes deleted, unless the FIA are satisfied that the driver left the track for reasons beyond his control. While a zero tolerance approach will be taken during qualifying, the race will see cases taken into individual consideration....
