Mercedes reprimanded over Rosberg FP1 incident
British Grand Prix – Mercedes have received a reprimand for using covers on their car during the FP1 session. Nico Rosberg ground to a halt during the first practice session with a gearbox hydraulic problem leaving Turn 1; a problem rectified quickly by the team upon the car's return to the garage. However, the means of the car's return drew the ire of the race stewards. According to Article 27.4 of the Sport Regulations: During the entire Event, no screen, cover or other obstruction which in any way obscures any part of a car will be allowed at any time in the paddock, garages, pit lane or grid, unless it is clear any such covers are needed solely for mechanical reasons, which...
