Wehrlein ‘can't say' if Mercedes W06 has improved
Austria – Day 1 pace setter Pascal Wehrlein says the driving conditions of the test mean he can't say whether the Mercedes W06 has improved since the last time he drove it. Wehrlein tested the W06 most recently in the Spanish in-season test at Circuit Di Catalunya in May. Originally set to drive the Mercedes on Wednesday in Austria, he was called up and away from his Force India duties a day early as Mercedes opted to run Nico Rosberg on the Wednesday instead. Remaining in the garage through the morning session due to heavy rain, the DTM star emerged on track in the afternoon and completed a total of 67 laps before the session ended at the later than originally scheduled 8pm....
