FIA gets tough on final chicane cutting in Canada

The FIA has made changes to stop drivers gaining an unfair advantage if they cut the final chicane in Canada, as is often the case. Large 'sausage kerbs' have already been installed to deter chicane cutters, similar to those used in Monza, but the FIA hopes the addition of a marked out lane and bollards will make cutting the chicane a slower option. Cars must remain within the lane when they rejoin the circuit, therefore they can't simply keep their foot on the accelerator and continue at full speed.
