FIA opens selection process for new team
– Formula 1's governing body, the FIA, has officially opened up a new selection process to identify a candidate team to join the World Championship from the start of either the 2016 or 2017 season.The move follows FIA President Jean Todt's recent suggestion of a fresh tender, following the demise of two teams (HRT and Caterham) over the past three campaigns.Prospective entrants must register their interest by June 30, before selection criteria, deadlines, legal requirements and other conditions are outlined.The application process will then commence, during which candidates will "undergo thorough due diligence", and be assessed under key selection criteria.The FIA's key...
