Weighbridge error costs Sainz top ten start

Carlos Sainz Jr’s hard work on Saturday during qualifying has been nullified after the Spaniard driver missed a compulsory call to visit the FIA weighbridge during qualifying. The Spaniard had impressed to qualify eighth for his Scuderia Toro Rosso team, but his times have been deleted with Sainz now being forced to start from the pit lane. It had been revealed during the session that Sainz was under investigation, but now will have his work cut out on Sunday to get a good result. 'I was actually quite satisfied and happy with a P8 in my debut in Monaco, but the stewards’ decision for me to start from the pit lane for not stopping at the weighing bridge in Q1 is very disappointing,'...
