Bottas bemused by Monaco qualifying flop
Though it isn't a circuit he ever expected to suit the Williams, Valtteri Bottas admits he didn't anticipate being dumped out of Q1 in qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix. Having complained at other events of his difficulties in getting heat into the tyres on qualifying runs, Bottas' woes were simply magnified further on the super-soft tyre around the low speed circuit in qualifying, the Finn labouring to a lowly 17th on the grid.
