Verstappen blames by Q3 tyre trouble in Monaco qualifying

Max Verstappen says he was unable to make perfect pace during the final qualifying session in Monaco as his tyres 'were not working'. Verstappen made impressive performance in Thursday opening practice with the second fastest time, and he proving quick again in practice two and three, despite suffering a spin in the latter. Today, the Dutch youngster left a disappointing tenth on the grid – now he lifts one place, following his team-mate Carlos Sainz's penalty. 'To be honest, Q1 was quite good, but I was complaining to the team, saying we need to warm up the tyres better,' Verstappen said.
