Hamilton crushes Rosberg challenge for pole – Qualifying Report
Lewis Hamilton has seen off the challenge of Nico Rosberg & Kimi Raikkonen to take the most important pole position of the year. The Mercedes driver put in a time 0.4 seconds quicker than Nico Rosberg, who made a crucial error on his final timed run in Q3. Fastest man in FP3, Sebastian Vettel, took third place for Ferrari. – Q1: After Sebastian Vettel's attack in FP3, it appeared Ferrari were fully back in the game and ready to fight for pole position in qualifying. Kimi Raikkonen's FP3 crash had resulted in only minor damage, and the Finn's car was repaired for the start of the session.
