Hamilton: Contract extension was an 'easy decision to make'

Lewis Hamilton, fresh off the back of signing with Mercedes AMG for a further three seasons, says signing with the team was never in question. 'I've been with Mercedes for a long long time.' Lewis said at today's press conference in Monaco. 'They were really important in getting me into Formula 1, I signed with them in 1997 back when it was McLaren-Mercedes. They were hugely influential in guiding me into Formula 1, and I've only ever driven with them. So it was natural that I'd want to continue with them.'
