Refuelling, faster cars planned for 2017

The FIA has announced that refuelling is set to make a return to Formula 1 in 2017, as part of several measures to help 'improve the show'. The changes were confirmed after a meeting of the F1 Strategy Group at Biggin Hill on Thursday, which was attended by FIA president Jean Todt, F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone and bosses from the leading F1 teams. The biggest modification to the rules will be the return of refuelling for 2017. It was last used back in 2009, before being banned for the 2010 season. Other changes agreed to for 2017 include plans to make cars five to six seconds quicker through aerodynamic rules evolution, wider tyres and reduction of car weight. There will also be higher...
