Mercedes 'need two number one drivers' – Wolff

With team mates battles between their two drivers ever-present and rumours abound amid Lewis' contract negotiations, Mercedes' Toto Wolff insists that there is to be no number ‘two' status in their line up. Tensions between their two drivers, Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton rocketed last season as the two who had been close from their childhood karting days battled for the drivers championship title. Their relationship, in front of the press at least, had seemed to have relaxed over the winter break – but the last two races and press conferences have again revealed the tensions between the two.
