Maldonado hindered by power problem

Lotus F1 Team Pastor Maldonado says that a lack of power prohibited him from achieving a higher grid slot during qualifying for the Bahrain Grand Prix. Maldonado's Lotus suffered a problem which caused the brake system to retain pressure without any pedal input, leading to a loss of straight line speed during the first knockout segment. That left Maldonado marooned down in 16th position, ahead of only Daniil Kvyat, the Manor Marussia drivers and Jenson Button's stricken McLaren.
