Ricciardo wins Laureus Breakthrough award

– Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo has won the Laureus World Breakthrough of the Year award.The Laureus awards are held annually and honour those with achievements in the sporting world.Ricciardo claimed his award for his 2014 season, in which he claimed three victories and finished in third place in the championship in his first campaign with Red Bull.Ricciardo fended off competition from tennis player Marin Cilić, alpine skier Mikaela Shiffrin, the Swiss Davis Cup team and footballers Mario Götze and James Rodriguez.Ricciardo follows in the footsteps of several other Formula 1 drivers to have claimed the award, with Juan Pablo Montoya (2002), Lewis Hamilton (2008) and Jenson...
