‘Frustrated’ Boullier takes heart from McLaren reliability gains
Eric Boullier says he can take heart from seeing both McLarens reach the end of the Chinese Grand Prix, even if he was 'frustrated' Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso with the end result. The Honda-powered car showed notable improvements during the third round, with Button cracking the top ten in FP2, but neither he nor Alonso were able to break out of Q1. It was a similar story come race day, Button and Alonso getting amongst its rivals early on, but ultimately fading to only finish ahead of the Manor cars. Even so, in a race that saw Force India, Toro Rosso and Red Bull suffer mechanical issues, Boullier was happy to see the McLaren-Honda MP4-30 – which has suffered numerous reliability...
