Hamilton edges Rosberg for Chinese GP pole

Lewis Hamilton will start on pole position for the third round of the 2015 Formula 1 World Championship after doing just enough to keep Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg at bay in qualifying for the Chinese Grand Prix. Fastest in all three practice sessions, Hamilton came into qualifying as the hot favourite for pole position, a status he firmed when he laid down a strong initial benchmark of 1min 35.782secs on his opening lap in Q3.
