Raikkonen left high and not so dry in 11th

The onset of wet conditions would scupper Kimi Raikkonen's hopes of carrying his impressive free practice form into qualifying as he was eliminated in a frantic Q2 session. The fastest non-Mercedes driver in the run up to qualifying, Raikkonen was nonetheless caught out by the scrum for a banker lap at the start of Q2 as stormy weather and rainy conditions began to set in. With just one chance to get a quick lap in before the heavens opened, Raikkonen's sole effort would see him fall just short as he came up on Marcus Ericsson around the final corner.
