Sepang boss wants young Malaysian in F1
– The boss of the Sepang circuit says that the future of the Malaysian Grand Prix would be boosted if a young driver from the country was able to participate in Formula 1.Malaysia has not had a driver race in Formula 1 since Alex Yoong departed the scene in 2002, though youngster Jazeman Jaafar has sampled Mercedes' Formula 1 machinery during private testing courtesy of the links both parties have with oil giants Petronas."For any event, especially a sporting event, the passion of local support and the interest in the domestic market is crucial," said Sepang CEO Razlan Razali."For Formula 1 in Malaysia, this is a challenge that we face.
