Kobayashi earns Toyota WEC reserve role

Ex-Formula One driver Kamui Kobayashi has signed for the Toyota World Endurance Championship team as official test and reserve driver. After the closure of the Caterham Formula One team, Kobayashi secured a drive in the Japanese Super Formula Series for 2015, competing with Toyota-powered Kygnus Sunoco Team LeMans. Alongside competing in Japan, the 28-year-old has joined Toyota's WEC team as test and reserve driver as the team annouced their full driver line-up earlier today. Kobayashi has a strong association with the Toyota team.
