Bottas ‘taking necessary measures' to race in Malaysia

After being forced to miss the season opening race in Melbourne due to suffering a back injury in qualifying, Valtteri Bottas told media that he is making every effort to ensure he races in Malaysia. The Finn's injury, an annular tear in one of his vertebral discs, became apparent during the qualifying session after which Bottas failed one of the  extraction tests and was forced to watch the race from the pit garage. As his inability to participate came after qualifying,  the Williams team could not replace him – and therefore could only run with team mate Felipe Massa.
