Ferrari junior Marciello given FP1 session by Sauber
Raffaele Marciello is set to make his Formula 1 debut with Sauber after being handed a drive for Free Practice 1 in Malaysia, before permanent driver Felipe Nasr takes over. Sauber's test and reserve driver Marciello, who is also set to contest his second GP2 series after joining Trident, will make his debut in a Formula 1 car at Sepang and feels honoured to fly the Italian flag as a driver. “It will be exciting to drive the Sauber C34 for the first time.
