Alonso cleared for Malaysia after medical tests

Spanish star Fernando Alonso has passed initial medical tests, clearing him to travel to Malaysia for this weekend’s Formula 1 Grand Prix. Alonso had suffered concussion in a Barcelona testing crash last month, which continues to be the subject of an FIA investigation. He has now reportedly passed concussion tests conducted by three physicians at Cambridge University. The tests follow Alonso's return to duties in McLaren's simulator at its Woking, England, base last week. Alonso had spent three days in hospital following the testing accident which forced him to miss the season-opening Australian Grand Prix where Kevin Magnussen substituted.
